Soothing, lullaby-like and gentle are but some of the adjectives that come to mind when listening to Capetonian indie folk act The Found Wonder’s new single, “Calling”. The track is delicately woven together and brings to mind the sounds of Sufjan Stevens and Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard.

The track is impactful without being overly complicated – in fact, it’s the simplistic sound of “Calling” that makes it so likeable and loop-worthy. The “calling” mentioned in the song’s title and chorus is cleverly mimicked in its instrumentals and vocal techniques, and we’re excited to see what lies in store for The Found Wonder.
