Singer, songwriter, producer and DJ TiMO ODV has recently released a new EP, Origins. We had a quick catch-up with the artist about this new release.

Your debut EP, Origins, was released on 2 September. What can listeners expect from the EP?

Basslines that are so dirty that you’ll need to shower afterwards.

How did you find the EP’s recording process?

Same as always: I sit in my underlit garage, I produce some beats and some bass and then I sing over them.

Your EP was already number one on iTunes shortly after being released. How did you react to this news?

[It] was a dream. I’ll be honest I really didn’t know what to think but I’m obviously extremely happy.

The EP’s cover boasts with some bold photography. How did the idea for the cover image come about?
No idea to be honest, it was shot in an all white room and Canton Parker did the rest with some final touches from Adrien Conradie.
Prior to the EP’s release, you also released some very successful singles. Can we expect any more single/video releases in the near future?

Yes, [there will] definitely [be] a new video with the latest single [and I] will be shooting it shortly.
